Chief Marketing Officer


Maria has more than 15 years’ experience in marketing and business development and was, most recently, Global Chief Marketing Officer for OFX, the ASX listed money transfer company. Prior to that, she spent two years at AMP, the financial services group, as Director of Channel Marketing, Advice & Banking. Maria’s career has also included a seven year spell at Optus, where she was respectively General Manager, Insights and Communication, General Manager Awareness and Acquisition, and then Head of Marketing Communications.

Educated at Bristol University in England and ENSAM at Bordeaux, Maria has a first class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and the Corporate Finance module of a MBA at the London Business School.

She started her career as an engineering student at the Ford Motor Company before joining the strategic management advisers, Arthur D Little, from where she went to Richard Branson’s Virgin Management Company. Whilst at Virgin, she helped launch three of its international mobile phone businesses.
